Tips for outdoor activities
We have talked to preschool and primary school teachers and received some tips for fun outdoor activities.
Nature bingo
Nature bingo is very popular among the little ones. Children find the items depicted on the sheet and put a cross over them. The first to get a line shouts bingo! Then you can choose to continue competing for two lines and a full board.
Print out the bingo, bring a pencil, and go hunting!
Stick bread on a campfire
Stick bread on a campfire is always a popular activity for both young and old.
Recipe for Stick Bread
4 dl wheat flour
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
5 tbsp oil
approx. 1-1.5 dl water
Here’s how to do it
First mix together the dry ingredients.
Add oil and water and stir together.
Put some oil around the dough before putting it in a lunch box. Twist the dough around the sticks or a sausage and bake over the embers on the fire.
Tip: feel free to replace 1 dl flour with whole wheat, spelt or rye
Good luck and have fun!
